Bapputy is released from jail. His crime was killing his father. Vasu married Bapputy’s sister. He met Sethulakshmi, a Hindu woman and helps her in crisis. Her brother Rameshan is a thief. Bapputy advises Rameshan to stop theft and help him to get a job. Krishnan Menon wishes sex with Sethulakshmi. She refuses his request. Then Krishnan spreading false news that Bapputy is paramour of Sethulakshmi. People of the village are seen it a Hindu – Muslim issue.
