It is a documentary about African political leader Patrice Lumumba, who was Prime Minister of Zaire (now Congo) when he was assassinated in 1961. Patrice Lumumba was a passionate advocate for freedom in colonial Africa, and when the Belgian Congo was granted independent, Lumumba was the new nation's first prime minister.
