Viva Cuba is a fairy tale. The film is the first Cuban film that awarded Grand Prix Écrans Juniors for children’s cinema at 2005 Cannes Film Festival. It tells about friendship of two children who threatened by their parent’s differences. Malu’s mother does not want her to play with Jorgito. Malu’s family is upper-class before the Revolution. Jorgito’s mother is from lower class and very loyal to the Revolution. She places similar restrictions on her son, due to opposite sign prejudices.
